	Master Joe Smith, 9th Dan	A student of Grandmaster Shimabuku, Master Smith is accredited with establishing the first Isshinryu Karate class in Central Illinois. Master Smith served on the original OKU Board of Directors and was serving in an advisory capacity at the time of his death.
